La mia vita in un post-it

Angela Failla
Ed. Augh!

La mia vita in un post-it deals ironically with several current themes: love, loneliness precariousness, homosexuality, betrayal and the fear of not being enough. All is seasoned with humour and a bit of exaggeration. Everything revolves around Sara, an imperfect but stubborn, upbeat, active and inquisitive woman. Her pet, Romeo, is a voracious, chubby furry friend who loves wearing bow ties and playing dead to catch his owner’s attention. Their adventures take place in a chaotic and crowded Rome where the life of Sara intertwines with that of a secretary who keeps a secret, of a manager who looks like Moses, a boyfriend who does as he pleases and her friends who are always there to support her.

Il buio delle tre

Vladimir Di Prima
Ed. Arkadia

Pinuccio Badalà lives in a village in Sicily, the son of a trade unionist who was involved in the Bologna massacre and who later died due to a strange car accident. The novel deals with Pinuccio’s dream of becoming a great writer and all the adventures he experiences trying to catch publishing houses’ attention. Il buio delle tre recounts more than 20 years of Pinuccio’s life full of illusions, delusions, journeys of hope, as well as absurd and unforgettable characters. The novel is a pungent parody of the current cultural decline and is based on the aspirations of a country-dweller who can be either a misunderstood genius or an example of mere mediocrity.
