by COORPI
A selection of VR 360-degree films curated by Compagnia della Quarta in collaboration with COORPI and presented at the ZED Festival Bologna from 2020 to 2022.
The films show with very different points of view, techniques, and strategies how dance can be explored through the immersive technology of the VR headset. For the viewer, it represents a unique opportunity to experience the work of great choreographers such as Philippe Découflé, Sharon Eyal, and Fabien Prioville, from unexpected viewpoints that turn time, space, intimacy, and proximity into personal and subjective dimensions.
Loop projection of a selection of works from the ONE MINUTE SECTION – Z GENERATION! of the 10th edition of the video dance contest ‘La danza in 1 minuto’. The contest is open to authors under 26, willing to accept the challenge of creating innovative, bold, and cinematic short dance films.
The authors of this year’s one-minute section have faced the issues that most seem to worry Generation Z in recent years: climate change, civil rights, body identity, sexuality, and mental health.
The pure movement made of nervous, convulsive, or liberating gestures, gives rise to the impulses, hopes, and fears of a generation, through different directors’ eyes, which refer to the analogic time of video art, to animation, the digital world, and films for the big screen.
