The performance explores cultural destruction and the exclusion felt by Russians opposing the war, who are seen as shadows of a dead realm. Through a forgotten language, it stages a dialogue between the living and the dead, reflecting on oppression, patriarchy, and discrimination. Blending reality and representation, the work evokes vulnerability and loss of identity, challenging the audience to confront otherness and the memory of a fading culture. Inspired by Horace’s Odes to Maecenas, the project represents a poetic act of resistance.
