From year to year, the Festival has grown in terms of artistic offer, audience, and jurors, becoming a nationally relevant event. Teatri Riflessi made its debut in the courtyard of the Benedictine Monastery of Catania in 2009.

From its second edition, the festival hosted exhibitions, workshops, installations, and forums: moments promoting networking and a discussion on contemporary dramaturgy among artists, jurors, and spectators.

After the pandemic, the seventh edition turned the event into an international festival and moved it to Zafferana Etnea.

In 2023, the jury members started coming from all over Italy, representing theatres and festivals of the country. 

In 2024, IterCulture entered Anticorpi XL, the Italian Network focused on young auteur dance.
