IterCulture, in collaboration with the Municipality of Zafferana Etnea,
the patronage of CENDIC – National Centre of Contemporary Dramaturgy,
the collaboration of the University of Catania and the University of Messina,
and the support of Di Bella Costruzioni s.r.l.,
organises the 7th edition of
Teatri Riflessi. The International Festival of Short Plays is a festival centred on a core event: a competition of short plays, without distinction of genres: theatre, dance, performance, music, and installations. The festival promotes dramaturgies in dialogue with the landscape, the needs and dreams of the territories and communities. The competition aims at inspiring the expression of contemporary art languages, hinging on the form of short plays—playlets and shorts—encouraging interactions and comparisons between different performing arts and participants, geographically, culturally, and artistically diverse.
TR7 takes place at the public park in Zafferana Etnea, Catania, Italy, from 14 to 16 July 2022. The festival artistic committee will select from 10 to 16 short plays, lasting less than 20 minutes. They will perform as semifinalists on Thursday 14, and Friday, 15 July. The announced finalists will then perform again on Saturday, 16 July. The deadline for submissions is on 25 March 2022.
The artistic committee has selected 17 short plays among all complete submissions and works submitted no later than the deadline.
